Your information is used to:

  • Provide and maintain the SubSaharaData platform
  • Process subscriptions and payments
  • Improve our data products and user experience
  • Send service-related communications
  • Ensure platform security and prevent abuse

3. Data Storage & Security

User data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest and in transit. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — authentication and data storage
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Vercel — hosting and deployment

Each provider has their own privacy policies governing their handling of your data.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics tools to understand usage patterns and improve the platform. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only when required by law, to protect our rights, or with service providers necessary to operate the platform (as listed in Section 4).

You have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing

8. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.
